Any reference to golf from me, wouldn't be complete without a mention of my teaching pro, Joe Hagan. I've been taking lessons from Joe for several years at Hersham Village Golf Course in Surrey and I credit him with taking out a lot of the complications of the golf swing and keeping the striking of the ball a relatively simple process, which, in effect it should be. I can relate to the way he teaches because he explains things in a simple way that makes perfect sense. One of the major things he has taught me is that when I am out on the course, to think only of the two feet before the ball, the way the club head will strike the ball and to picture the flight I want it to take. This takes all other swing thoughts out of the equation leaving me free to focus on what really matters, striking the ball !
